Chokro AI ("Chokro AI," "we," "us," or "our") provides an automated client communication platform for solo and small immigration and personal injury law firms. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to firms and their clients. By using our service, a subscribing firm agrees to the terms described here.
Chokro AI is the service operated at chokro-ai.pages.dev. Questions about this policy or our data practices can be sent to hello@chokroai.com.
When a firm signs up, we collect the firm name, attorney name, business email, phone number (optional), website URL, practice area, and team size.
Through the automated system, we process the names, email addresses, and appointment or scheduling information of a firm's prospective clients, as submitted through the firm's intake channels. This information is used only to run scheduling, follow-up, and status update communications for the firm, and only for as long as needed to complete those tasks.
Chokro AI does not intentionally collect, store, or review the legal substance of a client's matter, including case details, legal documents, or privileged communications. Our system is built to route scheduling and contact information only.
We recognize that client emails sent through a firm's intake channel may sometimes mix scheduling requests with case related content. When that happens, our system processes the message only to extract and act on the scheduling or contact information it needs; we do not read, retain, or use the substance of any case related content for any other purpose, and it is not stored beyond what is required to complete the immediate task. Firms remain responsible for advising their own clients on what information to include in intake communications.
To provide scheduling and follow-up features, Chokro AI connects to a firm's Google account through Google's OAuth authorization system. We never see or store a firm's Google account password; access is granted and can be revoked directly through Google's account permissions at any time.
Our use of information received through Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use data obtained through Google APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not use it for advertising of any kind.
Data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, using industry standard encryption protocols. Account credentials and connected authorization tokens are stored in encrypted form, and we do not have visibility into a firm's plain text Google or email password at any point.
We work with a small number of service providers to operate the platform, including Cloudflare for hosting and infrastructure, and Google Calendar and Gmail APIs for scheduling and email delivery. We may add or change service providers as the platform grows. Any provider we work with is bound by its own confidentiality and data protection obligations, and is permitted to use data only to the extent necessary to provide its service to us.
We do not sell, rent, or share collected data with any other third party, except when required by law.
Data is retained for as long as a firm's account is active. Upon termination of service, data is deleted within 30 days, unless the firm requests earlier deletion.
In the event of a security breach affecting a firm's data, we will notify the affected firm within 30 days of discovering the breach, or sooner where required by law. That notice will describe what information was involved and the steps we have taken in response.
Firms may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data at any time by contacting hello@chokroai.com. We will respond to such requests within a reasonable time.
Individuals whose contact and scheduling information is processed through a subscribing firm's use of Chokro AI may request that we delete or stop processing their information by contacting hello@chokroai.com or by contacting the firm directly. Because we act on behalf of the firm in these cases, we may direct such requests to the relevant firm where appropriate, but we will not unreasonably withhold assistance in fulfilling a valid request.
Our website uses a small number of essential cookies to remember basic preferences, such as whether a visitor has dismissed our cookie notice. We do not use cookies for third party advertising or tracking.
Firms that require a separate Data Processing Agreement may request one by contacting hello@chokroai.com.
This policy and any dispute arising from it are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated to active clients by email in advance of taking effect.
